We visited Munnar and the tea plantations as part of our tour organised brilliantly by Iris Holidays. It is a challenging drive up to Munnar from Cochin, but our driver Ratheesh Kumar was excellent at both getting us there and back, as well as taking us for a rewarding day touring the countryside and visiting both the tea museum and the Madapatty Tea Factory. The 11 of probably learned more in one day about tea than we had in the whole of our lives. A beautiful part of India high in the Western Ghats, thanks for your great driving Ratheesh.
Kerala’s tea gardens are very beautiful and full of greenery and peace. Wherever you look, you can see green hills covered with tea plants. The environment feels very calm and refreshing. Early in the morning, light mist and cool weather make the whole view look even more magical. The fresh air and quiet surroundings help you relax your mind. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and photography. The scenic views truly create a memorable experience.
Visiting the Munnar Tea Gardens was an absolutely peaceful and refreshing experience! The rolling hills covered in lush green tea bushes create a breathtaking landscape that feels like something out of a postcard. Walking through the gardens, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and seeing the tea-picking process up close was both relaxing and educational. The views of the misty hills and winding paths are perfect for photography and nature lovers alike. The area is well-maintained, and local guides are friendly and informative if you want to learn more about tea cultivation. A visit to Munnar Tea Gardens is a must for anyone traveling to Kerala!
The refreshing air and the amazing climate makes everything looks like imaginary , away from the smokey zones of the city, inside the misty hills of munnar full of tea plantations
